The Patchwork Story

Artists: Alex Bennetts

What is a story? Whether sprung from one writer or many, a narrative can string together a fleet of experiences. Have you ever wanted to play a part in writing a vast and interconnected choose-your-own-adventure? Well, now's your chance!

With participants contributing parts to the ultimate story, this ever-expanding exquisite corpse will toy with the nature of creation. As the festival unfurls, so will the story, as writer Alex Bennetts pieces together this patchwork narrative on the Noted website. In the words of Mary Shelley, we will pioneer a new story and unfold to the world the deepest mysteries of creation.

How do I participate?
You can participate from home, using your own computer and internet. You don't even have to be in Australia to attend! This event is open to all.

How does this work?
This event is interactive: you can contribute passages to the Patchwork story. Your contributions to this narrative, whether linear or completely irrelevant, will compose elements of this patchworked rendering of a story. These contributions will be made using Twine, open-source tool for telling interactive, nonlinear stories and will be made open for the public participation.

Check back on May 3rd for the link to the story or if you're super keen, you can register your interest right now. You'll receive a direct link to contribute passages to the story when the festival begins.
