Artists: Aidan Delaney
In three case studies spanning from 1894 to 2013, Aidan Delaney looks at the way in which the class rhetoric of middle-class mass media has policed and moderated gay men's identities. From the birth of the modern homosexual man to criminalisation, liberation, and police brutality, Delaney looks at how language and the law have been used to situate gay men in the middle-class consciousness.
