Tiny Treasures

  • Courtyard, Gorman Arts Centre 55 Ainslie Avenue Braddon, ACT, 2612 Australia (map)

Artists: Canberra Speculative Fiction Guild

Is real life too boring? Looking for a way to escape? You need some speculative fiction in your life! Steampunk! Space Opera! Australian Gothic! Sword and Sorcery! Cyberpunk! Ghost stories! Superheroes! Come and meet the colourful characters of Canberra's Speculative Fiction Guild and watch them craft tiny jewels of stories, small enough to fit on the back of a postcard, that capture humanity's most whimsical fantasies...or its darkest fears. Find one you love to take home and keep forever. Or, if you can't find that queer fairy tale featuring dinosaurs you've always wanted to read, ask one of our award-winning writers to craft you something bespoke, then and there (dinosaurs improve everything).

Please note: this is an outdoor event. Canberra weather can be extremely cold at this time of year. Please ensure that you wear appropriate attire for the weather conditions. Noted will advise of any weather-related program changes or cancellations via social media throughout the festival.
