Stimulus:

A woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction…(Virginia Woolf)

Woolf’s ideas about writing were groundbreaking, but what do women today need in order to write? What does it or would it mean to you as a young woman to have a mental and physical space to think and create, undisturbed and unobserved?

Your submission may be fiction OR creative non fiction. Your work may address the above question directly, or look more generally at the themes of freedom, family, identity, poverty, place, creativity, independence and empowerment. Or, simply write the story or non fiction piece you would write if you had a room of your own.
